A music project that is based on the synergy of two siblings and their instruments, which were created at different times and different musical paradigms. Johana and Martin Kratochvíl are inspired by their experience of playing in a symphony orchestra or folk ensemble, as well as listening to the ambient and electro-acoustic experiments of the 20th century. The result of this collision is an electro-acoustic composition, which is based on playing the dulcimer and electronic processing of its sound. The result retains the power, physicality and emotionality of playing this traditional Moravian instrument, as well as the dreaminess of abstract soundscapes. A very unique contribution to contemporary music in these parts. It is already clear that we will hear a lot more about THYME.
