The skull is perhaps the most complicated, tantalizing and at the same time certainly a horrifying, exciting part of the human skeleton. Nothing is so unambiguous on the remains of a man, but also anonymous than the loose and loose head. More recently, it was what individualized us, what we were distinguishing and learning among ourselves ... The skull / skulls are so similar, so unfortunately unifying. Uniformizing death, transience, and vanity, in which we are all equals in the end, because we are actually the same. Our "portraits" are at the same time self-portraits of all of us. This terrible inevitability of a common future destiny in which perhaps the consolation may be the idea that we do not know and we do not know when it will be completed ... "
