I know what you see when your eyes are closed

Bastl Instruments

One summer day, when Jan Evangelista Purkyně was resting in a meadow and perceived the light of the sun with his eyes closed and thought of moving his fingers in front of his eyes, he experienced a hallucinatory sensation known today as Purkyně's images. Today, these shapes and color sensations that we perceive with our eyes closed during flashing light are described in great detail, and we know the exact relationships between the frequency of the flashing light and the shape that the given frequency evokes in our brain. Thanks to these relationships, we are able not only to diagnose certain brain disorders, but in our example to create abstract animations from figures directly in the heads of viewers who put on the glasses. Compared to similar devices of a diagnostic or relaxation nature, our glasses also work in asynchronous mode and thus create various other feelings and sensations that are not so reliably described.

WARNING: CLOSE YOUR EYES before putting on the glasses! DO NOT wear glasses if you suffer from EPILEPSY or are otherwise susceptible to flashing lights!
