The large-scale installation is inspired by the events described in the book Excession by Iain M. Banks, which presents a utopian fictional interstellar society called Kultura/the Culture. The work deals with the clash of civilizations with fundamental differences in technological progress and power.
Boris Vitázek is a new media artist living in Bratislava. His work ranges from small intimate installations through sound design, VR to extensive large-format mappings. The artist purposefully connects image and sound, so his installations usually do not have a clearly defined beginning or end. The audience can choose for themselves how long they want to stay in the captivating imaginative space that Vitazek creates.
